Ok, I was gonna save this one for my end of season wrap up but, due to recent events (ex: Ridge fans riding this website), I am putting it up now in this short post.
SEVERAL folks have reported to me that they overheard multiple unsportsmanlike comments from Ridge fans/parents/coaches in the vicinity of both home and away bleachers after the game.
Examples:
"Like taking candy from a baby." A reference to Ridge's "dominance" over Mendham.
Excuse me? What the hell game were these guys at, cause it wasn't the one I saw. Did you not see it was an overtime ball game?
"[blah blah blah] ...taught those rich Mendham kids a lesson...[blah blah blah]".
What!?!?!?!?! Horsesh1t!

2. Do you not live in Bernards township, aka "Basking Ridge"??? Last I checked it is just about as expensive to live there (or more) as the Mendhams and Chesters. This is the definition of hypocrisy.
I almost didn't write this because it is hearsay, and that is historically unreliable but this isn't MoCo municipal court either.
So, there it is. Now all you Ridge fans can comment away and say what an arse I am etc...so have at it.
But I will tell you this, if either of those quotes are true, your football folks need to go down to Greystone for a free checkup from the neckup. 'Nuff said.

this is very unsportsmanlike. Fans are there to cheer their team on and players. I really cant say much because its self explanatory. You goto a game and watch. thats it. you don't need your rudeness and comments to be said to anyone..ok who cares if Ridge beat mendham..just get over yourselves. Another season awaits next year. when that junior class led Mendham will be a powerhouse full of seniors next year. then it will be intresting to see. Maybe Ridge will suck and Mendham goes all the way?

Ridge is as rich if not richer than Mendham. I heard that every Ridge kids gets a brand new Apple Laptop at the beginning of each school year.
And all their football equipment is all computerized. And that they just put computer chips into their muscles to make them bigg and that is why their line was so big. I actually heard their stud QB was a bionic robot and not even a real person. In fact, his real name is the Star Trek 3000.
It is getting late and I need to go to bed.

Anyway, really, nobody here has anything against Ridge, but apparently Skylands conference does not have a site of their own, so they like ours. And they seem to be very excitable, too. Hey its all good.

I heard that Ridge kids get a million dollars in their bank accounts when they get past the ninth grade. I can't reveal my source, but he is the same guy who said Bush planned 9-11. Anyway, Mendham kids only get $500,000 when they GRADUATE!
So, according to my sources, Ridge kids are richer.

You should have called this game a 55-3 loss. Then they would be making some noise.
The unsportsmanlike conduct that you are referring to is nothing more than the handsome rebuttal to the disrespectful and unnecessary comments about how inferior Ridge was compared to the supposed sleighted Mendham team. Mendham has a right to be unhappy. They had a great record and just missed the playoffs, but hell, that's the system they use so it's unfortunate. The things said by the parents and/or Ridge fans was only in defense of the insults slung at the Ridge team, and thus they were slung back.
We are also exceedingly and exponentially more intelligent.
Anonymous, to insult the parents and players of the Mendham team shows just how classless you truly are. Both the players and the parents do none of the posting on this site, and most have little idea what is actually said on this site. It was a very good game and you have a good team. I would say act like you've been there before, but clearly judging by your record, you haven't. To insult the Mendham players and parents is just ridiculous.
